Our first blog from New Zealand

Here we are at Singapore Airport, posing with our 747 which will be taking us to Sydney
Please do not think that we will be eating like this regularly!!

We were delighted to catch up with Stephen and Elaine and introduce them to Devonport.
This is the view from Devonport of the city of Auckland and its harbour.

We are delighted to be posting our first blog from one of our favourite places in the world - Devonport, North Island, New Zealand!, staying with our good friends Wendy and Jim. We had 3 good flights to get here and are not suffering too badly from jet lag. The sun is shining and we have had great morning coffee (flat white and long black) at Manuka. We are having a quiet day reaquainting ourselves with the town and surroundings. If the rain holds off we shall head to the beach this afternoon. Tomorrow we set off south to Raglan. We have a little red Toyota and accommodation booked for the next 2 weeks so we can head off and really start to explore.
Have just realised that photo posting needs to be done first, never mind!!

Phileas signing off, back in a day or two.

Fogg's turn. So far everything is going according to plan. A slightly hairy drive over Auckland bridge last night in our 'new ' Toyota but after a good night's sleep the open road beckons and we are off tomorrow to explore the south of North island . Very excited . As Phileas has said, more blogs soon when we have done more. Until then, our very best wishes to you all. Fogg. x
